COMPREHENSIVE AFRICA AGRICULTURE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM ( CAADP )

The Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP) is an initiative launched in 2003 by the African Union (AU). This was done through its NEPAD Planning and Coordination Agency (NPCA), whose focus is on boosting the agricultural sector policies in Sub-Saharan Africa. The objective of CAADP is to help African countries reach a higher path of economic growth. Agriculture-led development is the agenda, which eliminates hunger, reduces poverty and food insecurity, and facilitates expansion of exports.
